Stay home, but make it fashion

I had a hard time writing because blogging seemed frivolous while the world is dealing with a pandemic.  I was inspired to blog for two reasons.  I saw something on twitter about some of the greatest art, music, and literature being created during times of crisis.  The other reason came from the Netflix series Self Made based on the life of Madam CJ Walker. I won’t give it away for those who haven’t seen it, but there was a line that said hair care, specifically black hair care, was frivolous at that time.  If that were true, Madam CJ Walker would not have become the first woman of any race to become a self-made millionaire.

Time at home, for those who are afforded the luxury, is an opportunity to catch up on household projects and responsibilities.  It is also important to stretch our creative muscle.  In fact, creativity is one of the ways to maintain our sanity. I love the memes! Laughter is medicine especially in times like these, but is there something you always wanted to do that there simply wasn’t time for?  Do that!

It’s not too late to:

Get into the best shape of your life

Write your first book

Write/record a song

Create a work of art

Start a podcast or a YouTube channel

Learn how to do something new

Play games with the kids along with home schooling

A fun fact about these photos is that they’re selfies! I took them with my cell phone and tripod :).
