Build Your Dream

Last week I attended my sister, Krystin's, Empowomant event in Washington DC.  It was so inspiring to be in a room full of women with a common interest -empowering women to achieve their goals!  I took away so many things from this experience...the importance of women supporting women, daring to dream, but most importantly PUTTING IN THE WORK.  The attendees were business owners and prospective business owners with a focus on everything from fashion to social media to childcare.

My sister shared her vision about Empowomant with me last year and it was amazing to see her vision in action.  I left the event inspired with renewed motivation to pursue my passions.  I decided that 2018 will be a year of action...putting things in motion.  I've had countless conversations with friends, family, and friends who are like family (You know who you are 😊 )about starting businesses and organizations.  The conversations are great, but no follow through...  Less talk. More action.

If you don't build your dream, someone else will hire you to help them build theirs.-Tony Gaskins

I love this quote and it brings me back to my weekly goals, which I failed miserably last week because I was traveling but NO EXCUSES.  My goal last week was to keep up with exercising three times/week and to eat healthy. #EpicFail I'm back on it this week though!  This week I also want to focus on building my dream.  That starts with a vision.  To figure out what that looks like, I'm going to allot myself the time to sit and daydream about my dream life.  It may sound trivial, but it's tough for me to sit still and not be working on something.  What are your goals for this week?
