Weekly Goals: Introduction

The New Year represents a time for renewal.  I am so inspired by hearing talk and seeing posts about how epic 2018 is going to be because if you believe it, you can definitely achieve it!  Of course, this means putting in the work required to accomplish the things we desire to achieve.  This requires consistency and is where many of us fall short.  I struggle with this big time!  I set a goal, I start off strong, I slow down, and then somewhere along the way I stop.  How do we keep up the momentum?  I wrote about the importance of having an accountability partner here.  It’s also important to surround yourself with supportive people.  One of the things I’ve decided to implement on the blog this year is a Weekly Goals series as a means of supporting one another in making 2018 whatever we want it to be.  Every Monday, I’ll write a Weekly Goals post and if you wish to participate, just comment with a weekly goal.  You can comment directly on the blog, via Instagram, or Facebook.  The next week, we’ll review our goal and set a new one.  I know that some goals take longer than a week to achieve, so for the larger goals set a weekly goal that will help you to achieve your big goal.  For example, as much as I would love to lose 10 lbs. in a week, it’s not very realistic nor is it safe but going to the gym 3 times in a week is doable.  My Weekly Goal is to EXERCISE 3 TIMES THIS WEEK.
